No Rye Bread = Morning Sickness =(

So I pretty much have my morning sickness under control. I'm nauseous every morning and sometimes at lunch. Nothing too bad but still nauseous. I eat two slices of rye bread on my way to work and that makes me feel better and the morning sickness goes away until lunch. Then I eat again and I'm good. Not too bad compared to the horror stories I've heard about!

WELL...this morning I went about my normal business. Warmed up the car, got stuff ready for lunch, grabbed my bag & coat and a treat for Marino and then went to get my rye bread. There was no more rye bread!!! My husband has a habit of taking the last of things and not telling me we're out! So I said I'd wait until I got to work. We have a cafeteria in our building and I could go and get some rye bread after I get in. Well I don't know if it was the car ride or the unbelievable headache I got from wearing my friggin sunglasses but the further I drove the worse my morning sickness got.

I got to work and went straight to our kitchen and got a plain bagel. I had no time to go downstairs. I started to eat pieces of it on my way to my desk but it was too late. I ran to the bathroom and...well I think you know what happened next. That's the first time I've ever vomited at work and it's just not fun.

So I ate half of my plain bagel and drank my ginger ale and feel much better. Until lunch!!!

Double Digits!!!

I'm 10 weeks today!!! I'm half way to the half way mark...LOL! And my baby is no longer an embryo, (S)he is a fetus!!! I was reading my pregnancy week by week book and it's just amazing how the baby changes and grows each week. (S)he has little fingers & toes already and by the end of this week little fingernails will grow. Fingernails!!! It's just so amazing!

Saturday we went out with friends to celebrate my birthday. Nicole got me the Belly Laughs book by Jenny McCarthy. I'm about half way through it already and it's really funny! Elizabeth got me a beautiful frame engraved with "Baby C" on it. Brianne bought me preggo pops and my Alli got me the funnies shirt! It's posted below. I Love it!!!

The Word is OUT!!!

Art & I had our doctor appointment yesterday. I got a little disappointed because we didn't get to hear the babies heartbeat. My dr. doesn't like to try to listen for it before 10 weeks because if we can't hear it the parents get very upset (which would be me) so she just confirmed everything was ok and sent us on our merry way. We have our first ultra sound in three weeks and that seems SOOO far away. So I got really upset. I talked to my Mom and she told me she felt like that after every dr. appointment. Like she wanted them to do so much more. Hearing her say that made me feel so much better. My dr. said as long as I'm not having any problems everything is going smoothly! So Art & I decided to tell everyone.

The first person I told was my boss and the first thing he said was "You better come back!" LOL!!! Then we continued to tell everyone else: family, friends, co-workers. Everyone was really excited for us! It feels really good to have everything out in the open.

Our First OB Class

Art & I went for our first OB class last night. If that didn't make all this real I don't know what will...LOL! The lady was really nice and very helpful. She talked about the doctors in our practice, the staff, the hospitals and all the appointments we'll have and the tests. She also gave me my preadmission papers for St. Clare's and signed me up for three classes, a 5 week birthing class, a Mom and Baby class and a breastfeeding class. They start in May. She also gave us a long list of can not's; No dying your hair. You're only allowed to get foil highlights; no artificial sweeteners; no caffeine; lunch meat needs to be heated first then put in the fridge; no fish. Tuna I can have one serving of Chunk Light a week but that makes me want to throw up. She told me what medication's I can and can not take. And I "think" that's it. It was a lot of information to take in but very helpful. I'm glad Arthur was there so he could hear everything too. He also has to come to the 5 week birthing class. Now that should be fun!

Our next appointment is Tuesday the 22ND. I'm counting those days down so I can tell the world I'M PREGNANT!!!

Back From Florida!!

We got back on Tuesday from Florida. It was a great trip. My little Ariana is getting SOOO big! She's just adorable. She even helped out in telling Rod & Charlene our exciting news! When we got there on Friday I put her "I'm going to be a Big Cousin" shirt on and waited to see how long it took them to read it. Rod was holding her and noticed she had a different color shirt on. He started to read the shirt, looked at me and said "You're pregnant? Are you serious?" I told him yes, he was going to be an uncle!!! He was so excited. I told him not to tell Charlene and to wait for her to read the shirt but of course he didn't listen and as soon as she walked in he said "look at Ariana's new shirt." She read it and started yelling "Are you serious?" It was very cute!

Other than that our trip was great! Rod & Charlene got married on Saturday. It was a beautiful wedding. Sunday was football and we watched the GIANTS BEAT THE COWBOYS!!! What a great present that was! Monday the boys stayed home from school and we went to Ybor City in Tampa and went to an arcade. We had lots of fun there!

Now it's back to reality. I had my first dose of morning sickness this morning (YUK) and Art & I go for our first OB class tonight. Should be lots of fun =)

Here are some pics:

Rod already has her cleaning!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Yesterday was my 28th Birthday and I had such a nice day. The ladies at work always go above and beyond to make my day special. My Mother cooked Art & I a great dinner and we had a nice quiet night at home. It's funny, ever since we found out we are preggo we compare everything to next year. Like for Christmas "At Christmas next year we'll have a little baby" and the same for New Years. And now yesterday with my Birthday. My wonderful husband gave me such a beautiful card and wrote that next year Little C will be here to celebrate with us. What a difference a year will make!

So tomorrow we're off to Florida to see Rod, Charlene and the kids. Rod & Charlene are getting married Saturday and all I can think of is I hope I fit into the damn dress! My bloat is UNREAL!!! But more importantly, my Brother will find out he's going to be an Uncle...we're telling them we're pregnant! I bought Ariana a little shirt that says "I'm going to be a big cousin" and when we get there I'm going to put it on her and tell her to go see Daddy. We'll see how long it takes him to figure it out! I'll post after we get back on Wednesday. Hopefully I'll figure out how to post pictures on here soon so you can see how it went for yourself!

Being sick & Being Pregnant don't go together!

Ugh, I'm so sick! I'm so stuffed up, my throat's on fire, my ears are clogged and I'm sneezing and coughing like it's my job. The worst part about it is I can't take anything! No medication at all! Just cough drops, hot tea & soup. This crap had better go away by Friday because we're leaving for FLORIDA =)

Other than that I feel great! I started to feel a bit queasy last Saturday but that comes and goes. No morning sickness yet so that's good! We're just slowly awaiting our doctor appointment so we can share the news with everyone! Two more weeks =)
